NARS Kuala Lumpur
Heya, ladies. 🙂 How was your Friday? Sorry I oasis't posted much today, only I had a little disaster with Facebook early this morning that sorta threw me off schedule.
Long story short, but someone hacked my account yesterday and, pretending to exist me, was hitting my Facebook friends upwards for money! Yup, several readers alerted me to information technology this morning. I rapidly inverse my countersign, merely it was besides late. Facebook disabled my account, and I however don't know how many people the hacker may have contacted in my name.
ALERT: If you get/got a weird Facebook chat request from a version of me supposedly stuck in London afterward being robbed at gunpoint, I'g so lamentable! It wasn't me. Tabs and I are even so hither at home in California.
Hither's how I call up the hacker got access to my business relationship: I must have fallen for a phishing scam. I don't recall when or if I did, but it looks like others take been going through the very same affair.
The nerve of some people, right?
I was a little fussy later the Facebook fiasco and didn't get a lot achieved, simply I did detect a few minutes for the NARS Kuala Lumpur Eyeshadow Duo ($32). 🙂
She's one of eight precious pieces in the NARS leap makeup collection. Here's a closeup.
How cool is it that NARS named it after the capital of Malaysia? Francois, if yous're reading this, proper name something after Novato, California (LOL!) 🙂
OOH! I'm lovin' the lighter shade there on the left — an iridescent gold melon that flashes plum when the light hits it just right.
Texture-wise, both shadows experience soft, like a absurd cakewalk, clinging tightly to my lids and depositing a sheer, shimmery layer of color.
This doll'due south gonna be a crowd pleaser. Information technology'southward like shooting fish in a barrel to apply and should flatter a lot of different peel tones.
The second color in the duo is a highly pigmented reddish plum with chocolate-brown undertones and a *sprinkling* of golden glitter.
I think it's a little tricky to work with because of the color'south intensity. My offset scissure at it with a flat eyeshadow brush kinda failed. It looked too night, nearly brick cherry-red, similar a 'tow up vampire reject!
I had improve luck using a fluffy, domed eyeshadow castor (the MAC 217) using a low-cal touch. That produced a sheer, muted launder of plum.
Adjacent time you're near a NARS counter, take a infinitesimal to visit Kuala Lumpur. 🙂
I'm so glad information technology's Friday. Do you lot have any plans yet? Whatsoever they are, I hope y'all feel good (and your makeup looks fly).
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
